Is database management in high demand?by JimmyTimmy
I'm thinking about finishing up a certificate in Database Management from UCLA. I have some experience in database, mainly SQL, but it's nothing extensive.
Are database skills in high demand in todays market?
Do you think it's worth finishing up this certificate? It's a year long program, I only have 3 months to go
Database management in an admin positionby -
Could mean just about anything. It could imply that you must know a little bit about how to move in and out of programs and store data, for instance porting contact names from other programs into a contact manager like Outlook. It could be that you will maintain lists of data using select software, for instance entering and maintaining rows of data in programs like Excel. It could also mean they want you to back up your data onto temporary disks, and store the disks containing the software programs for the office. You could be assisting with software installation on various computers.
Time Matters is a software billing program, isn't it? But it is only one of many possible programs you could use including the standard Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and e-mail programs like Outlook
Interested in database mngmt certificate from uwby mahalie
Has anyone out there completed a UW Certificate? I'm very interested in their Database Management certificate.
I am interested in becoming less of a web generalist and doing a lot more db work, either design and management or sql programming.
I'd love to hear from anyone that has completed the program, for good or ill, online or in person. Specifically> Did you get a
strong foundation in database design theory? How were the instructors? Do employers react positively or negatively to the "certification". Did you feel it was a good value?
I don't consider the UW DB Certificate in lieu of MCDBA, rather I'd like some more theoretical and in person training and would
like some exposure to Oracle and mySQL as well
I'm looking for a web based inventory managementby njohnson3163
Script/program. Basically my school has to inventory everything that they currently have in the technology education program, and they've got NO setup, I just setup the current ticketing system about 2 months ago, before that they have no ticket system for teachers with computer problems, now we're figuring out inventory. I could just do a really simple form where you enter what you want input into a database through a basic HTML form, although a fully finished design with searching etc would be much nicer than me writing out a garbage looking page in PHP.
Also long time no see, sadly the summer job is over although it was a hell of a lot of fun, currently i'm in computer repair class(A+ certification course and dual credit for college), and I'm in programming 1(dual credit for college), Plus i'm so advanced the teacher gave me t…
